CLRG OIREACHTAS

Media Policy

Media Policy

CLRG’s media policy has been developed with respect for dancers and their right to privacy in mind. The purpose of the policy is to allow events and memorable moments to be captured without major interference for dancers, their teachers, and their families. The use of any form of unauthorized photography, videography or film to capture a dancer’s image whilst in motion (e.g.: mobile phone, standard or video camera, commercial film, with or without enhancement) is expressly forbidden.

An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha has appointed an official photographer for Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne and a livestream provider for Oireachtas Rince na hÉireann and Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne, who will take photographs and videos of competitors, competitions, and presentations. Such photographs and videos may be subsequently used for the marketing and promotional purposes of the organisation, including the publication on official websites, social media channels, and in promotional materials.

An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha may also appoint other agents during the course of the Championships for special promotional projects and reserves the right to permit suitably accredited journalists to photograph, video or film competitions and events on a case-by-case basis. Should a dancer wish to be excluded from any of these, their parent or guardian is advised to contact the Oireachtas Committee with relevant details at oireachtas@clrg.ie.

Please Note: Other than the photographs or videos taken by the official photographer and livestream provider, authorised agents of An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha or accredited photo- and video-journalists, all images captured at the event including those of competitors and presentations may only be taken for personal use may not be sold, lent or passed on to third parties. Individuals sharing personal photos or videos of CLRG events should do so in accordance with the current CLRG Social Media Policy. Personal photos or videos of CLRG events may not be used for commercial purposes or used in any publication without the express written permission of An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha and the parents or guardians of all dancers included in said images.
